Elliana Gayle Reiher

Today is a special day! Elliana turns 4 today! She is such a special person! I am so lucky that she chose me to be here mother. I knew she was special before I even had her. It was very spiritual. I knew the month of her birth and she was going to be a girl. I cant explain how I knew this but I did. She has been such a delight to our family. She has a way of making you happy when you are sad or upset. She lights up the room with her smile! Her favorite thing is her Daddy. She has been a daddys girl sense the day she was born. She loves to play soccer and play with her brother. She loves school. Her favorite part is handwriting. She is very smart and can write most of her letters. She loves to play with her brother. They are best friends. Another best friend of hers is Bryndi; the little girl I watch.

I am so grateful for Ellianas sweet spirit in our home. She adds so much to our family! I am grateful the Lord trusted me with such a special daughter of God. Elliana you are truly special and I love you very very much!

22 Weeks and Counting!

I had my monthly check up at the drs on this past Friday the 9th. The baby is doing great! Very healthy heartbeat of around 155! It was strong and everything. As I sat there and listened to it I couldnt help but be grateful. A friend of mines little boy just got a heart transplant due to the fact he was born with only half a heart. I couldnt help but be grateful that my baby's heartbeat was so strong and healthy. I couldnt help but say a little prayer to thank my Father in Heaven for the health and safety of this child. I also asked a blessing over the little boy Carter has he recovers. I am grateful for all I have and grateful for all the trials we have been through. I dont think I would be as strong and as humbled as I am today with out them. I am glad that my baby is healthy and strong. I am measuring right where I should too. So the baby is the perfect size and everything! I also cant thank everyone enough for their unconditional love and support through everything my family has gone through!

Mothering of the Unborne

So I have come to the conclusion that mothering an unborn child is much like mothering a born one. I have been having awful headaches and felt very nauseated. So I as much as I want those to both go away I have to be careful of how I get them to go away. Taking a wrong medication could have bad consequances. Yesterday we ended up at the hospital. I was hooked up to IVs and the baby put on an external fetal monitor. I was there from 5am-around 8:30am. But my main concern was that of the baby. I was hoping it was okay and nothing was going to happen to it. That is a lot like parenting the born. We worry not about ourselves but about our children. We worry more about them then we do anything else even our spouses. I love being a mother to both my born and unborn children. The baby is just fine however I am not. I am still having headaches and still feel nauseated. But as long as the baby is fine I can deal with the rest!

Half Way There on Thanksgiving!

Yesterday was Thanksgiving! It was a great day! We had my mom, her husband Steve, my brother Ben, his wife Brianna, and their son Nathan over! We had all the fixings and it was just in all a good day! It also marked the half way point in my pregnancy! I am grateful for the health of this baby. I am grateful it chose our family to join. I am grateful the Lord has blessed us after the trail of our faith. Sometimes we dont realize the blessings that we have. Sometimes it takes going through something horrific or awful to realize that we have is a miracle. The only thing that could have made the day better was to have Craigs family with us to. We did a Skype with them and got to see them all. It was hard to be away from them. I am so grateful for all that I have and for all that the Lord has blessed me with. I am grateful for the Temple and for the blessings my family has received from our choice to be married there. I am grateful for a husband who lived his life to be able to take me to the Temple. And for the wonderful Father he is to my children. I am grateful for all of my kids. They have all brought their own little spirit into my life. These are blessings I hold most dear. I am of course grateful for so much more. Thank you to all that have supported us and loved us through our good times and bad. Who have loved us unconditionally. We love you too!

18 Weeks and Counting!

We had our 18 week ultrasound today! Our baby is perfect and healthy! It was so active during the ultrasound! It was awesome to feel it and see is move! Now every time it moves I think of watching it. We were strong and didnt find out the sex of the baby so that is a surprise! We are comforted to know that our baby is healthy. It sounds weird but I could tell just by the ultrasound that the baby is already as in love with me as I am with it! We are very excited to welcome this adorable little spirit into our home!

Feeling the baby!

So I have been feeling the baby move around a lot. It first started on the 20th of October. This is the first time I felt the baby and I KNOW it was the baby. I am sure I felt flutters before then but this is the first time I didnt have a doubt. This is my favorite part of being pregnant. Feeling this life growing and moving inside of you. Makes it more real to me. But at the same time I think its pure magical! And a miracle. I am excited for this little flutter to become flow blown kicks! I am excited for others to be able to feel the baby move too! I am excited to share this experience with my kids and husband. They say the baby can hear me so I am trying to sing and talk to it a lot. The kids arent so keen on the idea but I am sure it just has to grow on them. We have our next doctors appointment on the 11th after our Ultrasound that same day. This is going to be a great day!

14 weeks and counting!

I am now 14 weeks pregnant as of yesterday! Its been exciting and challenging! But today marks the day I got to hear the heartbeat. Its funny how that small fast little thud can send you to tears. Your whole life changes in that minute that you are just listening. And to make it all that much better the baby moved so we could hear it better. The dr said it was about 160 and was impressed. This now puts my miscarriage rate to less then 1%. Unfortunately it never goes to 0 but we are down as low as we can get. It sunk in then that this is really happening. We are really going to have a baby! We are still stuck on not finding out the gender of the baby. I want it to be a surprise and I want people to be able to guess and have it be a fun game. I am thankful for all of those in my life who I get to share this miracle with. Thank you everyone for your love and support! My baby is doing great and that makes everything wonderful!
